By the way, great video!
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
Here’s an idea… …
Here’s an idea…How about everybody make pasta the way they WANT to because they LIKE it. If they want to make it with a traditional recipe, more power to them. If they want to be innovative, go for it!
If pasta is Italian, then any variation thereof can also be considered, to some degree, italian. If americans make changes to suit their own tastes, maybe the pasta is Italian-American. Like black people are African Americans. Nothing wrong with that.
Cook what you want, how you want!
OMG typical …
OMG typical American (I THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD BLAH BLAH BLAH)
I can’t believe YOU think fetuccini are an Italian dish. Not the other way around.
Funny how …
Funny how goombas stick their little brown noses in everything and are such pretentious little wussies…Like in WWII with WUSS-Olini.Italians learned how to make pasta from the CHINESE…How the do you know if this the right or wrong way to do it ???!!
Actually you can …
Actually you can spell it apologize too. I can’t believe Italy doesn’t have fettuccine alfredo. I really thought that is where the recepie originated from.
i live in italy and …
i live in italy and your both assholes
screw you …
screw you gangsterdrester and get a life…
screw rome this is america
Wow… Every1 needs …
Wow… Every1 needs to calm down… jeesh. First off it’s just one simple way to make pasta. Even in Italy, they have about 1000+ ways to make pasta. And Foccacia bread? Wow… you guys must not have lives…
It’s called taking an exsisting recipe and personalizing it… and American’s dont destroy everything they touch. Dont be an ignorant ass… It’s retarded views like that, that prohibit the HUMANS of this world from uniting as a whole and propelling our race to what it should be…
gangsterdrester, …
gangsterdrester, what’s the deal with you attacking another person for sharing their views or experiences? You are a 30 year old man so grow up and act like it.
By the way, are you aware that your 70 yr old Grandfather is not only a “momo” himself but he also sold me your Mother for xxx pleasure several years ago. And she needs to learn a thing or two about cleaning herself if you know what I mean. She smelled like outdated, warm Caciotta Dei Boschi cheese! What a nasty whore.
And about your …
And about your Foccacia: Even in the smallest “untouched” village in Italy they sell Foccacia as sandwiches. And do you know why? Because it tastes good and that’s all that matters. Not the fact that “it is not meant for sandwiches”. Before you try to teach me a lesson, go and visit Italy yourself because you are ridiculous. Now, please leave me alone so that I can focus on things less futile than this pseudo culinary discussion. If I need wood chopping advise, i’ll contact you.
I DID eat at …
I DID eat at someone’s grandmother’s home, you little and at good restaurants (My employer is not so cheap to reimburse only chain restaurants, you cheap fuck). Why are you so frustrated about this? Was your family chased out of Italy and are they Persona non grata?
Apparently you need …
Apparently you need a lesson you momo. What you eat a Mcdonald’s in Italy does NOT make it Italian. If my grandfather is 70 years old and says this is what my mom did and how we have done it for a 100 years I am guessing that would be the traditional way. Are you Italian? You go through the country for work and eat at chain restaurants? What the do you know? Go eat at someone’s grandmother’s house and get your learn on.
Your GRANDfather??? …
Your GRANDfather???? so what you dumb fuck? How many days have YOU passed in Italy THIS YEAR? Me approx. 50, so shut the up you stupid bastard. Incredible, A Canadian teaching me a lesson on Euro cuisine.
My Grandfather was …
My Grandfather was born and raised in Italy so off and eat a dick. I don’t have “Little Italy” where I live. Americans have butchered Euro cuisine and pretty much everything else they touch. Foccacia is not meant for sandwiches and not supposed to have a handful of dried herbs on it. Perhaps you are not eating at the right spots on your travels because what we cook and eat is authentic and no american variation is ever better.
You are the idiot. …
You are the idiot. I travel regularly to Italy and work in an institution where a lot of Italians “work”. Unlike you, my knowledge of Italian culture isn’t limited to the “little Italy” of the nearest city.
Idiot. Maybe you …
Idiot. Maybe you should go to Italy or talk to an Italian before you post such crap.
well, that’s the …
well, that’s the proof. I never said your english is bad ! I just said that it’s strange to talk in english with an italian. read again and then maybe answer. one last thing..I never used bad words with you. oh and “apologise” is the right way to spell the word. bye and take care
Nannyghia, dumb …
Nannyghia, dumb fuck. English is my 4th language so keep your stupid comments for yourself. If you think I wanted to insult your country, I applolgise. Your country is beautiful, only the people are stupid cunts. Kind regards
yeah!
yeah!
Wtf? have you ever …
Wtf? have you ever tried Italian pizza? makes American pizza taste like cheap plastic. And I don’t know who thought of meat in pasta but I usually don’t even add that element.
Toooooo …
Toooooo Sloooooooooooooooooow.
it’s only your …
it’s only your opinion. (by the way you make a lot of mistakes when you write in english!;)). bolognese sauce is made with meat in italy. pizza is a main course with no left over on top but only best ingredients, that’s the secret of a good italian pizza. who said I don’t appreciate what?? I was saying that in Italy we don’t have fettuccine alfredo. I think you didn’t get what I was talking about. read again.
Actually Americans …
Actually Americans made Italian cuisine better. They put meat in the Bologneses saus, they discovered sour cream tastes great with pasta and they made pizza a worthy dish (other than throwing some left-overs of the day before on it). I use mediteranean elements in my conventional cuisine as much as I use westers elements in the mediteranean cuisine. If you can’t appreciate that, I would say you are verry limited and got some exploring to do.
